An Extended Generalized Lindley Distribution and Its Applications to Lifetime Data
In this paper, a four parameters extension of the generalized Lindley distribution is introduced. The new distribution includes the power Lindley, Lindley, generalized (Stacy) gamma, gamma, Weibull, Rayleigh, exponential and half-normal distribution. Several statistical properties of the distribution are explored. Then, a bivariate version of the proposed distribution is derived. Using a simula...
متن کاملApplications of some discrete regression models for count data
In this paper we have considered several regression models to fit the count data that encounter in the field of Biometrical, Environmental, Social Sciences and Transportation Engineering. We have fitted Poisson (PO), Negative Binomial (NB), Zero-Inflated Poisson (ZIP) and Zero-Inflated Negative Binomial (ZINB) regression models to run-off-road (ROR) crash data which collected on arterial roads ...
متن کاملA New Lifetime Distribution
Many if not most lifetime distributions are motivated only by mathematical interest. Here, a new three parameter distribution motivated mainly by lifetime issues is introduced. Some properties of the new distribution including estimation procedures are derived. Two real data applications are described to show superior performance versus at least seven of the known lifetime models.
متن کاملExponentiated Kumaraswamy-Dagum distribution with applications to income and lifetime data
A new family of distributions called exponentiated Kumaraswamy-Dagum (EKD) distribution is proposed and studied. This family includes several well known sub-models, such as Dagum (D), Burr III (BIII), Fisk or Log-logistic (F or LLog), and new sub-models, namely, Kumaraswamy-Dagum (KD), Kumaraswamy-Burr III (KBIII), Kumaraswamy-Fisk or Kumaraswamy-Log-logistic (KF or KLLog), exponentiated Kumara...
متن کاملA new lifetime distribution
A new two-parameter distribution with decreasing failure rate is introduced. Various properties of the introduced distribution are discussed. The EM algorithm is used to determine the maximum likelihood estimates and the asymptotic variances and covariance of these estimates are obtained. Simulation studies are performed in order to assess the accuracy of the approximation of the variances and ...
